The classic, multi-Oscar-winning film screened in synchronisation with Howard Shore’s score for the first time.

With psychopath Buffalo Bill murdering women and believing it takes one to know one, the FBI sends Agent Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) to interview a demented prisoner, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a cannibalistic psychiatrist whose fascination with the young agent is as great as his hunger for murder. As their relationship develops, Starling is forced to confront not only her own demons, but also an evil so powerful she may not have the courage to stop.

Jonathan Demme‘s hugely successful film remains a thrilling, unsettling ride 33 years after its original release with its iconic performances and stunning set-pieces. Howard Shore‘s brilliant score, its own character in the drama, will be played for the first time in synchronisation with the film by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields conducted by Ben Palmer.

Post-show talk: The performance of The Silence of the Lambs – In Concert will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with composer Howard Shore and special guests.
