MASTERCLASS: Gordy Haab – 2:00pm – 2:45pm

Gordy Haab is a Grammy Award-winning composer known for his work in video games, film, and television. He has scored major titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars: Battlefront I & II, and Halo Wars 2. Haab’s compositions are praised for their cinematic depth and authenticity, particularly in the Star Wars franchise, where he expertly captures the spirit of John Williams’ legendary sound.

MASTERCLASS: Stephanie Economou – 3:00pm – 3:45pm

Stephanie Economou is a major force in Games Music, who, like many of the composers featured in the Day, has also worked extensively in film and television. In this masterclass, Stephanie discusses her work on Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and her Grammy award-winning score for Dawn of Ragnarök

MASTERCLASS: Stephen Barton – 4:00pm – 4:45pm

Stephen Barton, one of the busiest composers of Games Music in the business, gives an exclusive masterclass – a whistle-stop tour of how games are scored in 2024, plus some special guests, live demonstrations and music both released and unreleased, including Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and more.

PANEL – 5:30pm

What goes into writing a score for a video game? What are the challenges? As technology has advanced, how has it changed the way games are scored and consumed? And what does the future hold? These questions – and many more – will be discussed by a stellar line-up of composers who have written music for some of the most popular Games ever produced (and whose music will be heard in the State of the Art: Games Concert later in the evening). Moderating will be legendary music executive, Steve Schnur, from Electronic Arts.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a signing session with the composers ahead of the State of the Art: Games Music Concert at 7:30pm.

This event is now SOLD OUT.
